Tuesdays thoughts

Hello everyone! I pray that each of you have been doing great! We've been busy lately painting my sister and I's bedroom! We went with a Tiffany blue color for our walls, and a pink color for our closet, and lots of pink and black decor for the room! Here's a sneak peek of how some of it looks!

This is my desk that we put up! :)

And this is our closet!! If you'd like to see more pics feel free to head over to my Facebook page!

Right now, I'm reading a very romantic novel by Jane Austen! I decided to start with Persuasion first instead of always reading Pride And Prejudice first! :) I'll work my way through all 6 of her novels! :)

On Valentine's Day, my sister and I got a coupon each from Bath And Body Works for a free body mist with a purchase of something! It was a $16.00 value free! I got hand sanitizer to go with it! :) it was an awesome valentine treat from mom!! :)

Last week we had an amazing amount of snow for North Alabama! We got a total of 10 1/2 inches of snow with the two snowstorms we got! :) I loved it very much, since I had been praying for snow all winter! And this week we are having nice spring-like weather! I so love living in the south! Lol :)

After I finish reading all of the Jane Austen novels. I'm going to look for Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North And South! I watched the 2005 BBC 4-part mini series on Netflix and fell in love with it! I've watched it a total of 3 times already!! I love period dramas anyways, but I so love the romantic story between John Thornton and Margaret Hale! :)
This is one of my many favorite parts!!

Well I pray that each of you have a blessed week!

1st post of the year!!

Hello friends,
I pray that each of you have had a very blessed beginning of 2014!! I know I sure have! It's amazing to see what God has been doing in my life, the amazing friends He has brought either back into my life, or into my life for the first time! I cherish my wonderful friendships and so glad to have them! Even for the ones I haven't met yet but love y'all too!! Facebook is a very wonderful way to keep in contact with my friends that live in different states! I'm so happy and blessed how God has brought a wonderful church into my life! I've learned to never say never! Lol!! I never thought God would bring me to a wonderful Baptist Church that I love so much! :) I know that I've found some very wonderful kindred spirits at Bethel!! :) I have been praying for God to show me the perfect church for me and the first time going I felt so at home!!

Also, as many of you might have seen my pics on Facebook, if your following/my friend! You've probably noticed that I've been wearing my hair down/ up in high messy buns. It's because I've done a lot of praying for the last year and I've just felt God telling me to take a break from the covering! I'm not sure if it's for permanent or for a short time! Only God knows that!! I'd like your prayers as this isn't very easy for me! Since I'm so used to wearing the covering and all! I mean it's the way I've dressed for the past 4 years and so I know it'll be hard! Especially in town and all!!
I'm so happy and excited to see what God has in store for me! :) I've got a lot of goals to meet this year! With the Lord's help, and lots of prayer!! :) I'm going to go through a community college (WSCC) for GED classes, learn to drive and then get my liscenses. And then hopefully by this fall/spring semester I can start Nursing School at Calhoun! I'm so excited about starting school and all!! :) I know it'll be stressful at times but I know that I'll get through it with my dear friends and lots of prayers!! And I know it'll be totally worth it! :)

About 2 weeks ago I got the most adorable puppy ever! I say he's a puppy but he's 5 years old! He's such the sweetest little one ever! And I'm so blessed to have him!! :)
I pray that each of you have a very blessed evening! I'll try and post more better in the year!

Here's a pic I took the other day! I love the vintage hairstyle look! With the pearl earrings! :)
Here's Peppy!!

Blog Update, December 6,2013

Hello all! I pray that each of you have had a blessed start to December! I'm so sorry that I am just now getting around to updating my blog! It's been a good 5 months now.. I have surely slacked on it! And for that I apologize for that! Alot has happened in the last 5 months! Winter has come! And even tho we haven't had any snow or anything it's been a good start to winter. The last few days didn't even feel like winter.. We have highs in the 70's!! Yes 70's!!! haha On Wednesday (Dec.4th) I lost my dearest puppy in the whole world!! I miss her so much but I am so glad she isn't suffering anymore!! And I am glad God gave her to me to love and care for!! :) Today is a very rainy day.. But I know that it will be a very wonderful day!! I was reading my devotions for the day this morning and I thought this one that I have today fits perfect with what I've been dealing with this week!!

The Comfort Of God
I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
John 14:18
Life seems cruel at times. A harsh word from someone you love and trust can bring pain and tears. We know that God has said, I will never leave you comfortless, but when death claims a loved one, we struggle, our hearts bleed, and we cry and reach out for someone to cling to. God asks us to love each other because He knows how frail we are. A small Indian village had a rite of passages when a boy came to manhood. At sundown he was led deep into the forest to spend the night alone, without his knife, bow and arrow, or tomahawk for protection. This experience was intended to teach him to face fears, loneliness, and anxieties alone with no one to aid him. He sat alone in the chill of night, with the sounds of wildlife around him. Suddenly there arose the shrill, blood-curdling death shriek of  a dying rabbit. Too slow to escape, he became the evening meal for a hungry prowler. The boy's hair stood on end. How he longed for the safety of home and his father's protective presence. The boy was unaware that not many yards away his father stood guard behind a large tree, bow in hand, ready to kill any animal that might bother his son. When death stalks the neighborhood and claims a loved one, when billows of doubt begin to roll, and uncertainty threatens; when fears and anxieties want to reign, and comfort seems far away; remember, our loving Father is stationed nearby, ready to help us in our time of need.
*Trust is the conqueror of difficulties and fears.*

I just thought that this devotion was meant for me to read this morning! And I think it's a wonderful devotion for everyone that has lost a dear loved one (Mother, Sister, Friend, anyone) recently and need comfort during the upcoming Holidays!! I pray that each of you have a very blessed day!! I will try and post more!!
Blessings,
Elizabeth
